We are looking for a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne HGV Driver to join our team. Based from Witham, you'll be delivering goods nationwide, representing our business with excellent customer service and professionalism. This role includes overnight stays away from home 2-3 nights per week, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nationwide delivery and collection of goods using a 7.5-tonne vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and promptly reporting any defects
- Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely and legally
- Providing a high level of customer service, maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Completing delivery paperwork and following company processes accurately
- Staying away from home up to 2-3 nights per week, as required
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and roadworthy vehicle at all times
Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne)
- Valid Driver CPC card (essential)
- Good understanding of driver hours, regulations, and vehicle safety
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required
- Willingness to work flexible hours and stay overnight during the week
- Experience in a customer-facing delivery role is desirable
