An engineering company located on the outskirts of Colchester are recruiting for a Welder / Fabricator to join their growing team.
This will be paying between £14 – £17 per hour, depending on experience. This will lead to a permanent position after the successful 3-month probation period.
What does the role involve?
- As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be required to MIG weld structural steel, balcony frames, acoustic enclosures, railings plus much more
- Plate fitting with the thickness of welds between 15 – 20mm
- Reading from technical drawings
- Assisting with general workshop duties as required
- Working closely with the fabrication team & project managers to hit deadlines
Candidate requirements:
- NVQ, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication needed
- Own transport needed due to the location of the company
- Ability to be able to read from technical drawings
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills required
