A client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area are recruiting a Temporary Shipping Administrator to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time, office-based position working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am - 12:30pm, paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.
Your key duties in this Shipping Administrator role will include but are not limited to:
- Arranging distribution of finished goods in line with the daily shipping schedule
- Generating and collating shipping documentation for UK and international shipments
- Booking collections and producing shipping labels in line with carrier guidelines
- Liaising with customers, freight forwarders, and 3rd party carriers
- Managing proof of delivery (POD) documentation and assisting with invoicing
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
- Previous experience in a shipping/logistics or dispatch environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confident working with shipping software and documentation
- Knowledge of international shipping compliance and customs requirements
