We are recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive component manufacturer based in Wickford, Essex. With a strong reputation for high-precision products, they are now looking to expand their Quality team with the addition of a Quality Inspector.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined components
  • Use manual measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Support CMM inspections (experience with Mitutoyo or similar an advantage)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues
  • Support internal quality audits as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in a quality inspection role (manufacturing/engineering environment)
  • Familiarity with CMM equipment (basic knowledge acceptable as training given)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use inspection tools
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
