We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Quality and Goods in Controller to join our team in Great Dunmow, Essex . This hands-on role is essential to ensuring the quality and accuracy of our incoming goods and materials, playing a vital part in the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect all critical incoming goods and materials against purchase orders, technical drawings, and specifications
Unload materials and stock items and place them in assigned storage locations
Verify delivery documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy
Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, gauges) to check dimensions and tolerances
Identify and report any non-conformance\βs or damaged goods
Log inspection results and maintain accurate inventory using the ERP system
Liaise with purchasing and internal departments to resolve quality issues
Quarantine and label non-conforming items and initiate corrective actions
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection process
Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stock takes in other areas
Organise and store stock in designated areas
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe stores environment in line with health and safety policies
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks
Communicate effectively with other departments to meet operational needs
Requirements:
Previous experience in a quality control is essential
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometres and gauges
Good IT literacy and experience with ERP/stock management systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Physically fit and able to complete manual handling tasks
Valid forklift/pallet truck license is a plus (training can be provided)
Positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
