NPI Manager – Colchester – £40,000 – £50,000 + benefits including 25 days holiday

Here, you\’ll lead the introduction of new products into manufacturing, shaping them with your technical expertise and project management skills.
You\’ll oversee multiple projects, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production and making a real impact on how things are built.
You\’ll be based at the Colchester office, where hands-on involvement is key to driving successful product launches and process improvements.
You\’ll also have the opportunity to travel internationally, visiting manufacturing sites across the globe to support first builds and enhance production workflow.
What you\’ll do
As NPI Manager, you\’ll manage a small team focused on bringing new products into production, from prototype to volume manufacturing.
This is your chance to develop your leadership skills while staying hands-on with the tech.
You\’ll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure build integrity and design intent, supporting first-build activities and resolving any design-for-manufacture issues.
You\’ll also oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate parts lists (BOMs) within the company\’s MRP system.
Developing and delivering comprehensive documentation packages, including assembly instructions, test procedures, and product configurations, will be key to supporting production handover.
You\’ll collaborate across departments to improve workflows and ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.

Experience in electronic manufacture, with a strong understanding of design and production methods
Management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a small cross-functional team
Solidworks qualification and experience with MRP / ERP systems, BOM creation, and documentation control
