An expanding family run, high technology company in Maldon, are looking to recruit a SMT Supervisor to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the company. You will head up the management of staff and will have extensive experience of electronic manufacture including Surface Mount Technology.
Duties:
- Liaise closely with account managers to ensure boards are built in an effective way.
- Manage the workload and assign tasks to staff.
- Ensure staff have the necessary resources to perform their jobs.
- Ensure staff are following procedures correctly.
- Provide support and guidance to staff on jobs they're working on.
- Be responsible for training and development of staff within the department.
- Be responsible for monitoring work standards of staff.
- Assist in the recruitment process and carry out appraisals for your team.
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience of Surface Mount.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to multitask.
- Must have excellent leadership skills and good attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferable.
- Must be able to understand drawings and follow work instructions.
- Must be familiar with a range of hand tools including soldering irons, cutters and magnifiers.
- Must be approachable and adaptable.

- 40 hour per week, flexible working hours between 8am and 5.30pm.
