A rapidly expanding manufacturing company, supplying into the construction sector and based in Creeting St Peter, Ipswich, are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their team.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Salary is £30,000 per annum.
Your key duties in this Estimator role will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing quotations and pricing projects from technical drawings
- Managing the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to completion
- Sourcing costs from existing and new suppliers and supporting procurement
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Developing new business opportunities and maintaining commercial awareness
- Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone, email and in person
- Attending client meetings, site visits, trade shows and CPD events
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
- Previous experience in an estimating, sales or commercially focused role
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate quotations
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines
