Own the electrical, control and instrumentation strategy on a Top Tier COMAH site, where your expertise will directly impact safety, performance and long-term reliability. You will guide EC&I direction across the site - from high-voltage systems and control upgrades to major CAPEX investments - while staying hands-on with modern automation and process safety initiatives. As the Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer, you will also lead a skilled team of engineers and technicians, work closely with regulators and manage high-value maintenance contracts.
What you will do:
- Oversee all EC&I systems on-site, ensuring compliance with UK, EU and IEC regulations.
- Lead automation improvements, control system upgrades, and CAPEX projects aligned to business strategy.
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, while shaping asset management plans and maintenance SOPs.
- Act as a technical authority in risk assessments, HAZOPs, LOPAs and EC&I audits.
- Identify and implement improvements that reduce risk and drive performance.
What you will need:
- Degree in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer (or equivalent) on a Top Tier COMAH site.
- Deep knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX, PUWER, CDM, and functional safety frameworks.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage both people and process.
- CompEx certified.
