We are looking for a Controls & Design Engineer to join an established engineering team. This is a varied role covering design, controls, product development and continuous improvement.
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (negotiable based on experience)
We are open to graduates providing you have the relevant experience within electronics & control systems.
The Role:
- Producing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Creating work instructions and electrical schematics
- Supporting new product development, testing and validation
- Working on continuous improvement of existing products
- Engineering administration, including part number creation and BOM management
- Providing application and technical support
- Researching, developing and testing control systems
- Creating technical documentation, manuals and guides
About You: -
- Engineering or Product Design qualification preferred but not essential
- CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
- Experience with electrical and/or diesel control systems
- PLC, CODESYS or scripting experience would be advantageous
- 1+ years' experience within a design/engineering environment
- Experience with rotating machinery, steel fabrication or control systems would be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Self-motivated, inquisitive and keen to learn
