We're looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business in the Colchester area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of electronic hardware development projects, working on a range of products from initial concept through to production. You'll be joining a supportive engineering team where your technical expertise and ideas will make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and developing analogue and digital electronic circuits
- Creating schematics and PCB layouts
- Leading hardware development projects from concept to production
- Selecting components, testing proto@types and debugging electronic circuits
- Working closely with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams
- Supporting existing products and driving continuous improvements
- Producing technical documentation and participating in design reviews
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Ideally 2–5 years' experience in electronic hardware design
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
- Experience with PCB design and schematic capture software
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects
- Experience with Altium Designer or RF circuit design would be advantageous
