Pay and benefits:
- Hourly rate competitive and dependent on skills and experience
- This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8.00 am - 5.00 pm) – 40 hours per week – between £29,120 and £33,300 (£14.00 - £16.00 per hour)
- Or our popular option to work 36 hours per week – between £26,210 and £30,000 (£14.00 - £16.00 per hour)

Primary Water Treatments LTD is a leading provider of Water Treatment Services and was established in March 2006. We are dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of water safety and sustainability. Operating from the Greater Manchester area, we offer maintenance services across the Manchester, Midlands, and Yorkshire areas. Due to securing new contracts, we are looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly team. This position would suit a team player who would thrive in a family-owned business environment with exciting career opportunities to develop their Water Hygiene Maintenance Engineer role – working alongside decision makers on site collaboratively. This is a small team where individual’s contributions are highly valued and colleagues are encouraged to make an impact on the business.
Key responsibilities:
- PPM tasks to include: CWST inspection, legionella / TVC sampling, shower head C&D, Closed system sampling inline with BS 8552, TMV maintenance
- Clean and disinfection works
- Minor remedial / plumbing works
- Fault finding and servicing skills for various water systems and components
- Accurate and detailed reporting using a tablet, Word, Visio, and Outlook
- Professional attitude and appearance with safety consciousness
Key qualifications and experience:
- Experience in the water treatment industry is essential
- Good knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG 274 part 2, and BS8580-1:2019, HTM 04 01 preferred
- Great communication and client facing skills required
- Plumbing qualifications would be an advantage
- Experience in completing legionella PPM tasks
- Full driving licence
