This is a speculative posting for an onsite position based in Bristol city center. Please only apply if you can commute to our office 5 days a week. Applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK. This is an entry level position.

Role Description

We are looking to connect with Junior VFX Editors who are early in their editorial careers and passionate about visual effects. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their technical and creative skills within a professional VFX pipeline. You will assist with turnovers, temp edits, versioning, and deliveries while working closely with VFX Producers, Coordinators, and Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with VFX turnovers, including conforming plates, reference, and editorial materials
  • Prepare and manage temp edits, slates, and version updates for internal reviews and client submissions
  • Pull reference, prep shot edits, and update sequences as needed
  • Maintain accurate version control and file organisation across multiple projects
  • Support the VFX editorial pipeline, ensuring edits align with client and production requirements
  • Coordinate closely with Production and Artists to ensure editorial changes are clearly communicated
  • Help prepare final deliveries according to client and vendor specifications
  • Keep Flow (formerly ShotGrid) up to date with accurate and timely information
  • Organise reviews and dailies
  • Handle general office administration and production support tasks
  • Provide general support to Producers and Supervisors

Qualifications & Skills

  • Some experience or training in editorial or post-production (internships or runner roles welcome)
  • Basic understanding of post-production and VFX workflows
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience using Google Suite, Flow (ShotGrid), and/or Nuke
  • Familiarity with VFX pipelines and terminology
  • Previous experience in a VFX production position
