Could you provide support to older people? Primary Source Care are currently recruiting for Care Assistants to work at our client's adult residential services in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset providing high quality care to adults aged 60 and over with a range of health needs.

Full time, part time and ad-hoc positions available, with hourly rates of pay ranging from £8.50 - £10.00.

Current Vacancies - Crediton x 2 carers and Witheridge x 1 carer.

About the role: Our client is the leading independent provider of care homes in the South West region, with homes in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Avon. Their philosophy is to encourage and support their residents in making choices, in being independent. Making the decision to move into one of their homes does not mean giving up independence. In their homes, our client creates a relaxed and happy atmosphere. They understand that people value their privacy and independence, yet appreciate the benefits of companionship and the reassurance that help is on hand if needed.

Our clients' residents can all enjoy the confidence that, should the need arise, they are at their service, but they strive to support and encourage their ability to choose and so to maintain independence wherever possible.

Who are we? Primary Source Care are a company based in Hertfordshire established in 2019 to provide high calibre care staff to healthcare and support services throughout England. Set up by experienced care managers, our aim is to change the ethos of care to elevate the quality of life experienced by all service users. We only source the best possible candidates to suit your business or organisation’s needs. We strongly believe that we have a moral duty to enhance and protect the lives of all service users, whilst ensuring our clients are staff receiving fair and competitive rates. Furthermore, we supply long term members of staff to ensure continuity and security for all.

What we need from you: You will need to have at least six months' experience working in a care/supported living environment, and ideally hold a Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care, although it is more important that you have a positive, can-do attitude and the willingness to undertake further on-the-job training. All successful candidates will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check (paid for by Primary Source Care) before they can commence working with service users.

Pay and Rewards: Primary Source Care provides a full induction and ongoing training. We also offer a range of benefits which includes:

  • 28 days annual leave (including statutory public holidays)
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Free DBS check
  • Employment and self-employment opportunities with assistance provided
  • Accommodation and relocation assistance provided
  • 24/7 support
