Reed Education are excited to be working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Doncaster, who are seeking a passionate and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the early stages of children’s educational journeys.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum
- Support pupils in building strong literacy and numeracy foundations
- Deliver effective phonics lessons using Read Write Inc (RWI) or Little Wandle
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Has strong working knowledge of RWI or Little Wandle phonics programmes
- Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Is committed to continuous professional development
