Overview
Saxon Cross Surgery, a well-established GMS practice with a patient list of approximately 7,200, is rated Outstanding by the CQC.
This GP training practice offers a supportive environment for salaried GPs, with additional staff including ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and multidisciplinary PCN colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 8 sessions per week (Tuesday to Friday) including surgery, telephone, and home visits.
- Check and sign repeat prescriptions and handle related queries.
- Complete paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Make professional autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other healthcare workers.
- Maintain awareness and compliance with practice policies and guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health & safety).
- Respect patient privacy and uphold professional integrity and respect for others.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MB or MBBS) plus one foundation year as a medical practitioner.
- GP specialist training, GMC registration, and Royal College of General Practitioners membership.
- Experience working as a GP, with knowledge of the duties of a doctor and sound medical practice.
