As a Business Development Manager at Primary Goal, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our brand by engaging with businesses looking to recruit new talent or enhance their existing workforce through our digital programs. Your primary objective will be to promote the benefits of our offerings, educating business on our core offering and facilitate seamless onboarding for new candidates and learners.If you are passionate about driving business growth and making a positive impact on workforce development, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement with Businesses
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in target businesses to understand their needs and how Primary Goal can provide value.
Develop a clear Sales strategy for apprenticeships. Develop new business opportunities within existing customers and new target accounts, operating at multiple levels within the customer organisation.
Ensure the programmes meet the needs of the key stakeholders and that the Apprenticeships are Employer Led.
To support the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of apprenticeship ensuring the programmes are employer-led.
Direct all marketing efforts through the Marketing team to boost brand awareness and engagement.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and expand your network through networking, cold calling, reverse selling, and leveraging partnership referrals.
Develop commercial funding relationships with external stakeholders.
Support, where required, with the tender and procurement processes.
Utilise HubSpot to streamline all sales, marketing, and recruitment activities.
Secure new and repeat business opportunities, including those generated by other Primary Goal staff.
Marketing and Promotion
Utilize a variety of marketing channels (e.g., social media, email marketing, webinars, networking events) to effectively promote the Primary Goal brand and its core offerings.
Create compelling marketing materials and presentations tailored to different business sectors.
Collaboration with Recruitment Team
Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure that candidate engagement and onboarding processes are streamlined and efficient.
Share insights from business interactions to help refine recruitment strategies and improve candidate experiences.
Client Management
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and to address any concerns regarding the onboarding process.
Schedule and conduct regular follow-ups with clients to assess their needs and gather feedback on our programs.
Market Research and Reporting
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors within the apprenticeship and training sectors.
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Experience
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the apprenticeship or training industry.
Familiarity with digital learning platforms and their benefits to businesses is a plus.
Skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse clients.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools.
