Primary Care Sheffield is looking to appoint a Service Coordinator to support the Sexual Health service, however support across our other services may be required on an ad hoc basis. The successful applicant will take responsibility for providing high level administrative support to our operational teams to achieve our motto of Right First Time. This role would suit someone with extensive SystmOne, ERS knowledge, someone who is self-motivated and enjoys attention to detail tasks. This is a responsible, varied and challenging role which is suitable for someone who works well under pressure.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Providing high level, professional and confidential administrative support as part of an administrative team ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective maintenance of administrative functions.
  • Being an effective communicator working with a wide range of stakeholders from across the health and social care system to support PCS day to day business.
  • Applying knowledge of administrative systems and procedures to problem solve and develop alternative or additional systems that support quality delivery of services.
  • Using excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills to receive and communicate complex and sensitive information.
  • Monitoring progress and chasing against identified actions within each service.
  • Escalating/directing specific issues to key individuals within the wider PCS team as required.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent administration systems and managing all documentation in a systematic way.
  • Assisting in managing processes by providing information and analysis as appropriate.

The post holder will be managed by a senior colleague but will be expected to act independently exercising sound judgement. The post holder will have regular 1:1s with line managers to support ongoing development and review performance.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: NVQ 2 Business Admin or Customer Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience of administrative systems and dealing with sensitive information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast, evolving organisation.
