Growing collaboration within healthcare in Sheffield provides PCS with a wide range of working-at-scale opportunities which can improve patient pathways and reduce cost. The purpose of the role is to develop our management information into useful performance management data, providing analytics to support the management and growth of the business.
Main duties of the job include:
- Working closely with senior leaders to provide a commercially focused approach to business performance across all of PCS's business areas.
- Ensuring effective commercial challenge, planning, delivery and reporting of services critical to patient care, commercial success and organisational health.
- Supporting the company's data-driven decision-making by collecting, analysing, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Optimising business performance by utilising data and BI tools to provide actionable insights, monitor business outcomes, and deliver reports to management teams across PCS services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualisations using BI tools e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Performance Monitoring: Work closely with relevant stakeholders to design and implement the performance management framework for operational and corporate service delivery.
- Business Performance Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure the effective utilisation of performance information for data analysis and reporting.
- Data Integration & Automation: Work on integrating data from various internal and external sources into BI systems for comprehensive analysis.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with healthcare professionals, clinical staff, and operational teams to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights based on data.
- Compliance And System Optimisation: Continuously assess BI tools and systems for effectiveness and efficiency in reporting.
Person Specification:
- Essential: Commitment to deliver BI solutions which support PCS in providing high quality, excellent value, effective and efficient services.
- Experience: Substantial knowledge and experience of industry standard methodologies and tools, including data platforms, development methodologies and practices, reporting and project management.
- Qualifications: Educated to degree-level or equivalent with relevant professional certification.
