We are looking for both full-time and part-time GPs to join our friendly team in Cockermouth, a thriving market town on the edge of the breath-taking Lake District National Park. We are keen for candidates who wish to focus on delivering core family practice, getting back to basics, and delivering exceptional levels of patient care and outcomes.

We are a visionary, forward-thinking and progressive GP practice in the Lake District. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team during a time when we are planning operational and strategic change. We are currently developing revised ways of working under a new leadership and management team to improve our CQC outcome. There may be a future partnership opportunity for the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful candidate will manage a patient caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
  • Full or part-time positions available.
  • Mix of face-to-face and phone consultations and home visits.
  • Opportunities to be involved with training, research, and care homes.

We currently have 11 GPs and 60 clinical and non-clinical staff serving 18,200 patients in our modern, purpose-built surgery inside Cockermouth Hospital. Our size means we are flexible, able to innovate and adapt whilst retaining a good team spirit and strong emphasis on quality and education.
