We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an existing member of the practice team to take on the role of Medicine Administrator. This role will support the safe and efficient management of medication-related processes, working closely with our clinical and administrative teams. This role is offered as a full time position.

Job responsibilities
- Track incoming documents from other healthcare professionals e.g. Discharge sheets and ensure medication is updated on patient screen and issued where appropriate.
- To liaise with patients, community pharmacies, external healthcare providers and agencies to resolve queries, facilitate requests, and support the effective coordination and delivery of patient care.
- To process repeat medication requests in line with practice protocols and ensure medication-related queries are identified, appropriately managed, and resolved accurately and promptly across all communication channels and practice systems.
- To ensure that patient queries on medication are highlighted to the relevant GP.
- To manage and coordinate the practice repeat prescription process, ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with practice procedures.
- To ensure patient medication records are accurate, complete, and regularly updated with the most current information available.
- Set up electronic repeat dispensing and automatic prescriptions to ensure efficient workflow.
- Undertake work as directed by the management and medicines team in relation to contractual requirements.
- To provide administrative support for shared care processes and agreements, ensuring appropriate documentation, communication, and follow-up.
- Attending medicines management meetings locally and on teams to represent the practice.
- To provide administrative support for clinical audits, including data collection, record review, and accurate documentation as required.
- Co-ordinate the end of month prescription submission to NHSBSA.
- Ensure adherence to practice standard operating procedures and policy at all times.
- To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient medicines service.

Experience
- Experience in dealing directly with the public/patients face to face and over the telephone.
- Dealing with queries and complaints.
- Experience of administrative duties.
- Experience in primary care (GP practice) setting.
- Experience in pharmacy setting.
