We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join the friendly and forward-thinking team at Exmoor Surgery, based in London, W10. The role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team that includes nurse practitioners, clinical pharmacists, paramedics, and other allied health professionals.

Exmoor Surgery is part of a wider federation of GP practices in North Kensington and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The Salaried GP will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary care services to patients, including:

  • Conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations
  • Managing long-term conditions
  • Handling acute presentations
  • Carrying out clinical administration such as prescriptions, referrals, and test result reviews

The role also includes participation in on-call duties, supporting clinical audits, contributing to practice development, and collaborating with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centred care.

In accordance with the practice timetable, the GP will work autonomously, delivering care within their scope of practice to the patient population. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing towards clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well-women and well-man clinics
  • Supporting the management team in reviewing clinical policy and procedure
  • Managing patients presenting with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Providing subject matter expert advice to patients
  • Identifying, managing, and supporting patients at risk of developing long-term conditions
  • Providing advanced, specialist nursing care to patients as required
  • Providing wound care and specialist clinics such as ear syringing and contraception
  • Undertaking the collection of pathological specimens
  • Providing travel medicine services
  • Requesting pathology services as necessary
  • Processing and interpreting pathology and other test results
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in conjunction with extant legislation
  • Recognising, assessing, and referring patients presenting with mental health needs
  • Implementing vaccination programmes for adults and children
  • Supporting the clinical team with all safeguarding matters
  • Delivering opportunistic health promotion where appropriate
  • Supporting patients in the use of their prescribed medicines
  • Participating in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
  • Participating in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach
  • Driving the development of nursing services within the practice
  • Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies

In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with sensitive information regarding their health. The post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff, and other healthcare workers. Information may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

Health & Safety: The post-holder will adopt a full range of promotion and management of their own and others' health and safety and infection control as defined in the practice health & safety policy. Awareness of national standards of infection control and cleanliness, and good practice guidelines is essential.

Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practise is required, along with inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
