We're Primary Care Dietitians - England's only national independent specialist first contact dietitian provider. We partner with NHS Primary Care Networks to deliver high-quality, tech-enabled dietetic services directly in GP practices. Our team is supported by experienced, HEE-trained FCP clinical supervisors, and we're committed to helping dietitians advance their careers through HEE's Roadmap to Practice.
The Role
As a First Contact Dietitian, you'll work autonomously within GP practices - assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing patients without needing a GP referral. You'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, directly reducing GP workload while delivering meaningful patient outcomes. You'll be working alongside one other dietitian across 8 practices in Doncaster South.
Key focus areas:
- Pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes management
- Weight management
- Frailty and nutrition support
- Group education sessions
What You'll Need
- HCPC registration and degree from an approved dietetic programme
- Minimum 3 years' clinical experience in dietetics
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and the ability to work within an MDT
- Confidence working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have: GP practice experience, EMIS/SystmOne familiarity, Level 7 MSc learning, or previous FCP/triage experience.
