The Vale Medical Practice is looking to welcome a permanent Advanced Nurse Practitioner to our team for 48 sessions per week (flexible and negotiable).

Main duties of the job

  • Individualised coaching and career development

Essential qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or working towards)

Essential experience

  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation requirements met

Desirable experience

  • Experience working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care
  • Ability to independently assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions
  • Experience in managing long-term conditions and preventative healthcare
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst recognising limitations and seeking support when appropriate
  • Competence in clinical examination, history taking and clinical decision-making
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional responsibilities
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and ensure mandatory training remains up to date
  • Awareness of and compliance with relevant practice policies and guidelines, including prescribing, confidentiality, data protection and health and safety requirements
  • Commitment to lifelong learning, audit and quality improvement to ensure evidence-based practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centred approach
