We have an exciting new opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team based in Mersea Island Medical Practice on a part-time basis for 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Booking appointments
  • Greeting patients
  • Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff
  • Updating patient records
  • Processing correspondence and liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods

To be considered for this position, you will need the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good understanding of IT
  • Ideally, experience of a busy reception/public environment
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts
  • Experience of working in general practice will be an advantage but training will be given to a suitable candidate

We are an established practice in West Mersea, we also have a CQC rating of good. We are a training practice, and the team consists of 5 GP partners, 5 registrars, 1 ANP and a nursing team along with a very supportive administrative & reception teams.
