The Holbrook and Shotley Practice, in Ipswich, is seeking two organised and professional receptionists to join our friendly team on a part‑time basis. This will be for 15 hours per week, working the following patterns:

  • Greeting and directing all patients.
  • Making appointments.
  • Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.
  • Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
  • Advising patients of practice procedures.
  • Registering new patients.
  • Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.

About us: The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP partners, two salaried GPs, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedics, and reception team.

Qualifications: We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.

Experience: Excellent communication skills, with a patient‑focused attitude. A quick learner with good IT skills and excellent attention to detail. Helpful and friendly manner is essential, with the ability to work well with others. Primary care/healthcare experience would be desirable. Flexible to cover for sickness and holidays.
