Suffolk Primary Care are looking for an organised and professional Governance & Compliance Officer to join our team at our Stowmarket practice. This position is offered on a part-time basis for a maximum of 22.5 hours per week. We can be flexible with working days and exact hours. This key role will provide administrative and coordination support for CQC compliance, incident reporting (Datix), policy management, and information governance processes.
Main duties of the role will include:
- Providing administrative and coordination support for CQC compliance.
- Managing incident reporting as the lead for our incident reporting system Datix.
- Acting as the principal liaison with our Data Protection Officer (DPO) team to uphold robust data protection and UK GDPR standards across the organisation.
- Leading the preparation and successful submission of the annual NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).
About the Candidate
To be considered for this position, you will require the following:
Essential
- Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and risk management
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience working within a GP surgery or NHS setting
- Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Desirable
- Experience preparing for CQC inspections
- Experience developing or delivering staff training
- Training in healthcare management, quality assurance, or CQC compliance and governance.
- Experience of working as part of a governance team, is desirable but not essential
