Walton Medical Centre are looking for an individual to work in a team environment undertaking processing patient prescription requests and working in our reception area. The total hours for this role are 25.5 hours per week working across both areas. We are looking for a prescriptions clerk / receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.

Main duties of the job:

About us:

Walton Medical is based in the seaside town of Walton on the Naze in north-east Essex. There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within our area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. The clinical team consists of 2 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses and GPAs. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients of the practice.

  • Possess experience of working in a busy, public environment.
  • Be flexible, with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate good team working and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an excellent standard of patient care.
  • General practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage.
