West Suffolk Rural PCN are currently looking to welcome a GP under the ARRS scheme to work alongside their team based at Guildhall Surgery in Clare, Suffolk. This position is part-time, for 6 sessions a week. We offer a competitive salary and recognise the importance of a healthy work life balance.

The practice has a long and successful history of balancing the needs of the practice population along with the wellbeing of the staff, and we recognise the importance of both.

  • Regular peer support through meetings to discuss complex cases or concerns.
  • Opportunity for a chat and catch up over coffee daily.
  • Training practice – we teach trainees as well as medical students from UEA and University of Cambridge medical schools.
  • PCN ARRS team: social prescriber, first contact physiotherapist, clinical pharmacist, care co-ordinators and health & wellbeing coaches.
  • Good relationship with our community teams with a virtual MDT once a month with community providers, social care, mental health and voluntary organisations.
  • Training and personal development encouraged and supported.

Guildhall Surgery is a happy and thriving rural 2 partner GMS GP practice, in the beautiful rural Suffolk countryside. We have a clear focus on delivering the highest quality patient care to our 5600 patients. We are highly regarded by our practice population, with 75% of our patients rating the practice as fairly good (31%) or very good (44%) in the 2025 national GP Patient Survey.

West Rural Suffolk Primary Care Network based in West Suffolk, is comprised of Wickhambrook Surgery and Guildhall Clare Surgery. We are a small rural Primary Care Network with a combined patient population of around 10,600 patients. All practices use SystmOne clinical system.

Please note this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
