King Street Surgery in Kempston are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team of workflow administrators/summarisers. The role would be well suited to someone who comes from a general practice background or has experience working in the NHS. We currently have ex-nurses and administrative staff performing these roles, and the mix of skills and backgrounds has proved to be a winning formula.

The position will be part-time for 15 hours per week working on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 5 hours per day 9.30am-2.30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, accurately read coding and completing any detailed actions.
  • Forwarding correspondence/tasks to the GP, Nurse or Pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Ensuring confidentiality is always maintained, both in and outside of the workplace.
  • Correction of any anomalies in patient notes, restructuring of existing computerised notes as necessary.
  • Ensuring computerised records are accurate and up to date.
  • Working strictly in accordance with practice protocols for Workflow Optimisation and Summarising.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff - clinical and administrative.
