Embrace Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced minor injuries qualified practitioner, someone who is passionate about patient centred care and wanting to enhance their primary care clinical skills. We welcome applications from clinicians looking to work either full-time or part-time, with opportunities available from 1 to 5 days per week, offering excellent flexibility to suit your individual circumstances and career aspirations.

Working as an ECP / ACP for Embrace Medical Centre, you will be responsible for on the day assessment for both health and clinical needs of our patients. Utilising your clinical skills and clinical judgement to fulfil consultations from start to finish, from diagnosis to treatment regimes, with the ability to refer patients if required. This role will include face to face consultations and other duties will include:

  • Carry out daily consultations with patients or representative
  • Facilitate a comprehensive patient history during the consultation; if needed physical examinations
  • Use of your expert knowledge and clinical judgement to identify potential diagnosis
  • Decide on and carry out treatment, referring to secondary care within local agreed pathways and protocols as appropriate
  • Prescribe, if suitable, medication treatment regimes in accordance to local formularies and within practice prescribing protocols, with the ability to review guidelines where applicable or request additional information if not available

About the Candidate

To be considered for this position, you will require the following:

Essential:
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • First Level Nurse or other healthcare professional qualification leading to registration
  • Degree level study or equivalent (evidence required)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Details of your past and present professional development are required - using examples where necessary
Desirable:
  • Independent non-medical prescriber qualifications (evidence required)
  • Experience of working within Primary Care or GP Practice
  • Specialism in any long-term condition management is desirable but not essential
  • Other related experience, areas of expertise and skill sets also desirable but not essential
