North Clacton Medical Group have a vacancy for a passionate Clinical Assistant to support the team of Healthcare Assistants and Nursing Associates. The position is offered on a full-time basis, working 5 days a week across two practices - Crusaders Business Park and North Road, Great Clacton, so you will be required to commute between the two sites.
Main duties of the role will include:
- Phlebotomy and observations
- Attend to patients at home (home visits)
- Smoking cessation (training can be given)
- Carry out health checks
- Update patient health records
- Ensure rooms are well stocked and set up correctly
- Move equipment and stock as required
- Assist with general admin support and clinical duties
The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience, skills and competence, requiring you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
About the Candidate
To be considered for the position, you will require the following;
Essential:- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Phlebotomy certificate
- Successful completion of the Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake, as indicated by the CQC
- GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent
- Good IT skills
- Drivers license and own transport
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
- Experience of working within a GP practice
- Experience of SystmOne, plus additional software such as Abtrace and AccuRx

North Clacton Medical Group is a GP practice in Clacton On Sea looking after 11,000 patients across two sites. We pride ourselves on being a family orientated practice and valuing work life balance.
We have an on site gym and car park which staff can use.
