- As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group
About the Candidate
- You will be a Registered General Practice Nurse (currently registered with the NMC)
- You will hold a recognised ANP or ACP qualification at Masters level and work as an Independent Nurse Prescriber. You will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and be confident in leading in a variety of settings
- You will be forward thinking and strive to develop innovative ideas and new ways of working, that address the health needs of the practice, whilst motivating and encouraging others to do the same
- As an excellent communicator and collaborator, you will embrace opportunities to work and liaise across multi-professional and agency boundaries in the interests of improving patient outcomes
- In addition to your highly developed clinical skills, your approach in the role will be consistently compassionate and respectful placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues
- It is desirable that you have experience in Primary Care and have worked in a GP Practice ideally in the Southend area.
About Us
- We can offer off street parking for the duration of your shifts
- We work closely with the Homeless Healthcare team, however patients are registered at all practices in Southend and Southend Medical centre is not exclusively responsible for this patient group
- Historically we are aware we had a reputation of dealing with challenging and complex needs patients, we would like to reassure applicants we have a zero-tolerance policy to unacceptable behaviour. Patients will be deducted and registered with special allocation services (SAS) if necessary.
- We pride ourselves on being an ‘inclusive’ practice. This means our staff are open minded and non-judgemental when offering a service to vulnerable patients often with a multicultural background, experiencing deprivation, health inequalities and personal characteristics. We pride ourselves on adapting our approach to break down any barrier’s patients may have and believe everyone should have access to healthcare. We strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel listened to, respected and supported to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
