Job Introduction

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse with Primary Care practice experience?

Primary Care 24 are looking for Practice Nurse’s who will join our workforce to support our practices.

You will provide nursing services by evidenced based, quality focused care.

You will be a vital member of our clinical team, delivering essential nursing care and supporting the health and well being of our patient.

You will work alongside GPs, other nurses and healthcare professionals.

We employ salaried and bank workers, so offer the flexibility to fit around you.

Salary

£46,575.00 - £49,603.00 per annum (pro rata) or £23.82 per hour for our Bank Staff

Primary Care 24 GP practices in Litherland, Hightown, Crosby, Crossways, Maghull, Thornton, Seaforth, Netherton, Netherley & Garston

Location

Various locations within Merseyside, Sefton & Halton; including Wavertree Head Office and The Primary Care Hub as key locations

Shifts

Part time and bank positions available, around our operations hours of Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:30

  • What will I be doing
  • Providing specialist knowledge and skills in general practice nursing.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care ensuring clear channels of communication exist between clinical, administration and community teams.
  • Supervise and mentor the general practice nursing team and provide an effective learning environment for staff and students in the wider team.
  • Provide assessment, treatment, screening and health education services and advice in accordance with set protocols, guidelines and NMC Code of conduct.
  • Ensure accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations and treatments are documented.
  • Follow infection control policies and keep up to date with policies.
  • Responsible for treatment rooms supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe, free from hazards and conform to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.

What do I need?

  • NMC registered with a minimum of 2 years qualified experience.
  • NMC mentorship Qualification.
  • Experience in a GP practice, primary care or community setting.
  • Experience in cervical cytology and immunisations
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Training certificates in BSL, Infection Control, Information Governance, Safeguarding adults and children level 3.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience.
