Are you an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner? Primary Care 24 (PC24) are seeking highly skilled and motivated APNPs to join our workforce with Alder Hey Hospital to support with the care of our young patients. We are recruiting for full time and part time positions for a 6 month fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job:

  • Deliver quality individualised care to children and young people with a high level of autonomy underpinned by the four pillars of Clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research.
  • Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
  • Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and prescribe where appropriate, providing advice and care for children and young people presenting with undiagnosed and undifferentiated illnesses.
  • Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/local protocols and within scope of practice.
  • You will practice autonomously whilst demonstrating a child and young person-centred approach to meet PC24 patient health care needs.
  • The position will require the ability to establish and maintain excellent professional working relationships with hospital, primary care and wider stakeholder colleagues.

Job responsibilities:

Salary: £64,876.00 - £69,845.00 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Alder Hey Children's Hospital

Shifts: Full time/part time bank positions available. We currently have available - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9am - 9pm.

Qualifications Essential:

  • Full NMC Registration with no restrictions.
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice is desirable; candidates who are working towards this qualification or who have relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber V300.
  • Clinical Examination and Diagnostics Level 7.
  • Experience of working autonomously.
  • Experience of working in urgent care and/or primary care.
