Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant? We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who will assist the GP's practice nurse and ANP team in the safe, caring and effective delivery of the care management of the practice population.
Salary: £13,963.73 - £14,600.00 per annum, DOE
Location: North Park Health Centre, L20 5DQ
Contract: Permanent
Shifts: 20 hours per week – Tuesday 08:00-16:00, Wednesday 08:00-13:00, Thursday 08:00-16:00
Responsibilities:
- Promote health education to all patients you come into contact with to keep them at optimum health.
- Work alongside clinicians measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height and weight.
- Collect specimens as directed by clinicians.
- Carry out Urinalysis on patients.
- Assist clinicians with application of non-adherent dressings.
- Act as a chaperone when required.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures and adherence to them.
- Liaise with other services and organisations regarding services provided and current practices to develop best evidence-based practices.
- Complete accurate records consistent with legislation and policy.
- Identify, assess, manage and escalate any risks or incidents and support in sharing best practice.
- Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Excellent communication skills and able to adapt to individuals' needs.
- Experience of working in a General Practice environment.
- Training certificates for BSL, Infection control, Information Governance, Safeguarding Adults and Children level 3.
- Flexibility to work across all PC24 sites.
