Are you an experienced Practice Nurse within Primary Care? We are looking for a Practice Nurse who will support our practices, providing nursing services by evidence‑based, quality‑focused care. You will be a vital member of our clinical team, delivering essential nursing care and supporting the health and well‑being of our patients. You will work alongside GPs, other nurses and healthcare professionals. We have positions both part‑time and full‑time.
Main duties of the job:
- Providing specialist knowledge and skills in general practice nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care ensuring clear channels of communication exist between clinical, administration and community teams.
- Supervise and mentor the general practice nursing team and provide an effective learning environment for staff and students in the wider team.
- Provide assessment, treatment, screening and health education services and advice in accordance with set protocols, guidelines and the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Ensure accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations and treatments are documented.
- Follow infection control policies and keep up to date with policies.
- Responsible for treatment rooms supplies and equipment.
- Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe, free from hazards and in conformance with health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
