Are you a GP with an interest in Clinical Governance? We are looking for a GP who will provide clinical leadership to ensure the safe, effective and high-quality patient care across a group of Primary Care practices. You will support and strengthen the organisations medical clinical governance framework by working closely with the Quality Team and practice teams to develop consistent governance processes, review clinical incidents, and embed learning and continuous quality improvement.
Salary: £125,000.00 per annum (pro rata)
Location: Flexible within PC24 sites, including Wavertree Head office, Primary Care Hub (Sefton) & any PC24 GP practices.
Contract: Permanent, part time (7.5 hours per week) flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Main duties of the job:
- Support the Quality team in the development and implementation of consistent clinical governance framework across all practices.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain regulatory compliance and the highest standards of patient safety.
- Lead or support the review of significant events, clinical incidents, and patient safety concerns.
- Support clinical audit and quality improvement programmes across the practices.
- Provide clinical input into patient complaints and concerns where appropriate, supporting practices in identifying learning opportunities from complaints and feedback.
- Support the development, review and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
What do I need:
- GMC-registered General Practitioner with licence to practise.
- Experience working in primary care.
- Understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement principles.
- Experience participating in significant event reviews, audits or incident investigations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
