What You’ll Do

  • Support the delivery of accurate and timely in-house payroll for over 33,000 colleagues across the UK & ROI.
  • Partner with the Payroll Manager and wider team to manage payroll cycles, monitor deadlines, and address any risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements, including year-end processes and reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and support governance, compliance, and global payroll activities as required.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven payroll experience (5+ years, or a combination of payroll and broader industry experience) with strong knowledge of UK/ROI payroll systems such as SAP or Mega Pay.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, including tax regulations, statutory requirements, pensions, and year-end processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach and the ability to make sound decisions while knowing when to elevate.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Excel/MS tools, with an organised and structured approach to work.
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and the ability to support and develop team members.
