We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the governance, planning, and coordination of a key business project. This role will take a project-level view to transform our design and messaging across all packaging and labelling to better communicate around our products. It will involve orchestrating multiple teams, external partners and diverse stakeholders, setting and managing project timelines and working with the Packaging Design Manager and Packaging Centre of Excellence to ensure delivery of the project on time and on budget.

This role will be responsible for designing and implementing a new way of working, process map, RACI and briefing approach for packaging design – to bring the right skill sets together at the right time, improve efficiencies and connect product messaging across POS, digital and labelling. It will involve a deep understanding of the process, the stakeholders, the needs and the application of best practice in this space.

What You’ll Do as Packaging Project Manager

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the reimagined packaging design and messaging system—from briefing and design through artwork and phased rollout supported by a clear project plan, milestones, and governance.
  • Establish integrated ways of working that connect packaging, POS, and digital messaging, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Set up and run a cross‑functional Working Group spanning Sustainability, Compliance, QA, Packaging COE, Marketing Ops, Commercial, Digital, Store Design, and other key teams.
  • Partner closely with Packaging Designers and the Packaging Centre of Excellence to ensure high‑quality, technically feasible, and on‑brand solutions.
  • Coordinate with adjacent programmes and project leads to align dependencies and ensure seamless integration across initiatives.
  • Manage external agencies and partners, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery and clear accountability.
  • Drive decision‑making, risk management, and governance, aligning stakeholder needs with business priorities, regulatory compliance, budgets, timelines, and a clear RACI for ongoing updates.
  • Champion optimisation and scalability, delivering a tech‑enabled, future‑proof packaging design system that improves speed, quality, value perception, and is adopted consistently across the business.
