Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance administration function effectively and efficiently in accordance with established company policies and internal control procedures.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant company rules, agreements, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Provide a high level of service that contributes to overall business and site performance.
  • Use financial systems to raise and receipt purchase orders, maintain invoice matching control to ensure accurate capture of operational costs.
  • Perform other administration tasks such as petty cash, expenses, training, stationary, uniform, and filing as required.
  • Input and maintain all finance information in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain the auditability and traceability of all financial information.
  • Encourage a safety culture whereby each colleague operates with safety as the primary concern.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant company environmental policies and procedures.
  • Achieve all personal targets and key performance indicators efficiently and effectively.
  • Produce timely and accurate management information reports regarding the performance of the operation.
  • Ensure a good standard of housekeeping through observance of relevant Company policies and secure work areas when unoccupied.
  • Treat Company business in the strictest confidence and not disclose to persons outside the Company.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Manager where required, including cover for responsibilities such as Financial Reporting and attending weekly team meetings.
  • Assist with producing period finance packs for reviews with senior management.
  • Communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Work under pressure and in a team or on own initiative.
  • Make good decisions and problem solve.
  • Knowledge of a fast-moving retail warehouse.
  • Experience of utilising and interrogating financial systems.
  • Experience working in a financial/administrative role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
