What You’ll Do as Domain Architect Security

  • Strategic & Architectural Leadership: Define the architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap for the domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise and business objectives.
  • Solution Evaluation & Domain Modernisation: Assess strategic solution options, drive domain health through lifecycle planning, simplification, and reuse across platforms.
  • Governance & Design Assurance: Chair domain-level design forums, provide oversight on high-level designs, and enforce compliance with enterprise principles and standards.
  • Delivery & Collaboration: Partner with product, platform, and programme managers to shape demand and priorities; lead ideation, vendor selection, and implementation planning.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Management: Guide Solution Architects and Engineers, maintain accurate domain landscape, and ensure critical design knowledge is retained and shared.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Lead horizon scanning, multi-year planning, and contribute to practice development through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What You’ll Bring

  • Security Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of enterprise and security architecture principles, frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA, OSA), and best practices, with broad technical awareness across IAM, network, cloud, data protection, and threat management.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Ability to translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable language for diverse audiences and influence senior leaders.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong facilitation skills to build alignment across business, product, and technology teams; proven architectural leadership in large-scale programmes.
  • Strategic Thinking & Risk Management: Skilled in analytical planning, organisational capability, and risk-based decision-making to embed security by design.
  • Technical Specialisations: Expertise in areas such as cloud security (Azure, AWS/GCP), network segmentation, DLP and encryption, SIEM/SOC integration, Identity and Access Management, and incident response patterns.
  • Experience & Qualifications: 10+ years designing enterprise-scale security solutions, 12+ years in technology with security governance exposure, and certifications like CISSP, CISM, ISSAP; familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR, PCI DSS, and secure development lifecycles.
