Overview
We are seeking an experienced, goal-driven Regional Sales Manager to join a leading international engineering company specialising in the manufacture of valves and steam traps for steam, hot water, and thermal oil systems. Our product range includes isolation valves, control valves with pneumatic and electric actuators, check valves, strainers, pressure reducing and safety valves, balancing valves, steam traps, heat exchange packages, and condensate recovery units.
Responsibilities
- Cover the South East England territory, selling a wide variety of medium and low-pressure valves and control-related products to contractors, OEMs, end-users, and distributors.
- Focus on the food & beverage, NHS, general industry, chemical, and process markets.
- Manage existing accounts, secure new business, and drive project sales opportunities.
- Take ownership of the territory—prospecting, specifying, quoting, tendering, and closing profitable contracts—while ensuring project delivery aligns with customer requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years in external sales within a mechanical engineering discipline.
- Mechanical qualification (HNC or higher) and familiarity with steam systems.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, with the ability to win new customers and maintain profitable relationships.
- Based in the South East England territory.
- Confident working with a variety of stakeholders, from engineers to senior management.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring equipment is delivered on time and in the right place.
- Skilled in ERP and CRM systems, with strong analytical abilities and excellent written and spoken English.
- Full UK driving licence.
