Our client is a specialist manufacturer of vacuum technology, providing solutions in heat treatment, and equipment enhancements. A bit about the role: My client is looking for a highly motivated individual, who is focused on giving technical assistance on my client’s products & their customer’s needs. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible providing technical support both on the mechanical and electrical aspects of the role. Within the role of the Field Service Engineer, you will be helping our client’s customers within the Vacuum/Heat Treatment industry. In the role of a Field Service Power Engineer, you will be required to have an all-rounded engineering knowledge, such as PLC systems (ideally Siemens or Wonderware). Within the role of this Field Service Engineer, this will include all phases of dealing with customers and maintaining and developing customers breakdowns. Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer who has installation experience but also can identify opportunities for our clients to improve their systems and give quotations. Due to this Service Engineer being a field service-based position, this position will have a company car included. What’s required: Full UK Driving License. This role of a Field Service Engineer does require someone who is comfortable with occasional work away from home, overtime on the weekends (including during public holidays). Willingness to travel and stay away from home dependent on the project needs. Ideally someone with a background in Heat Treatment or Vacuum Systems would be an advantage but not crucial. Both proficient in both Mechanical and electrical aspect of engineering.
