Home-based Field Service Engineer supporting paper manufacturing customers across the North West. Part of the Northern Service Team, providing 24/7 technical support for QCS and DCS systems. This role combines hands-on field service, customer support, and preventative and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Service Agreement scope, including preventative and corrective maintenance
- Support, configure, calibrate, modify, and troubleshoot QCS/DCS equipment
- Provide on-site and remote technical support, including out-of-hours assistance
- Participate in 1 week in 3 on-call rota
- Build strong working relationships with production and engineering teams
- Advise customers on maintenance, operational methods, process measurement, and control
- Travel across the UK as required
- Prepare technical reports using ServicePro and other reporting tools
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering (essential)
- Clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Self-motivated, able to work independently
- Strong customer focus and networking skills
- Results-oriented with good commercial awareness
- Knowledge of the paper industry (desirable)
- Experience with QCS or DCS systems (desirable)
