About the Role
Our client, a leading name in high-end manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee operations for a key customer programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day site operations, including procurement, inventory, vendor management, and customer service.
- Maintain strong relationships with the clientโs management and plant teams, ensuring alignment with programmed objectives.
- Identify opportunities for value added services, cost savings, and performance improvements.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as cost, sales, and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with contractual targets, including annual cost-saving initiatives
- Manage and develop on site staff, including training and performance management.
- Coordinate technical support, vendor collaboration, and new product introductions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock audits.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in inventory or storeroom management (3โ5 years minimum).
- Strong background in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Solid understanding of LEAN principles and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident decision-maker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficient in project coordination and performance reporting.
- Valid UK driving license required.
- Minimum of a secondary education (A-Level or equivalent).
- Further education or relevant professional qualifications desirable.
