Area Sales Manager (South East)

Are you looking to advance your career in the Control & Automation components industry? You will be working for a fast-growing manufacturer and become an integral part of their sales team as an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East region.

My client manufacture a comprehensive range of Control & Automation Components and work with a wide network of Wholesale customers.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of customer interactions.
• Be technically knowledgeable about all product lines sold by the business.
• Pre-qualify requests for quotations with calls where appropriate.
• Follow, plan, and execute nationwide sales strategies.
• Follow up on visits and maintain records of your sales pipeline.
• Maintain CRM records for discounts, contacts, and carriage for any customer you interact with.
• Comfortably call non-buying, turned down, and new customers to arrange initial meetings.
• Actively promote product benefits and value statements on LinkedIn.
• Plan and execute marketing events throughout the financial year.
• Take ownership of assigned accounts, monitor quotes, orders, and delivery issues, and visit customers regularly to stay informed about their business.

Qualifications:

• HNC/HND or higher in electrical or control engineering (Not essential)
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Friendly, approachable, and enjoys speaking to people on the phone.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to regulate time under stressful conditions.
• Proficiency in IT, especially with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.

This role with suit someone currently working in Internal sales looking to take the next step in their career or working for one of the major national Electrical wholesalers in a similar position.
