Your Day-to-Day:
- Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience.
- Act in a manner that upholds the College standards.
- Participate in College and Program Activities.
- Monitor and review students during practicum and/or clinical placements, as the program requires.
- Facilitate learning on exacerbations of chronic illnesses and/or presentations of acute illness.
- Facilitate consolidation of skills such as post-operative care, surgical wound management, IV therapy, and focused assessment.
- Deliver clinical teaching over the scheduled hours, take attendance, and supervise the safety of students during clinical hours.
- Advocate for the learning of students in the acute care setting and monitor their progress.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Current license with BCCNM.
- Three or more years of experience with at least one year in acute care.
- Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline.
- A credential in adult education or willingness to pursue the PID at an accredited post-secondary institution is required.
- One year of teaching experience could be considered an asset.
