Are you looking for a new challenge? Fancy helping us shape the future of motor insurance? Prima could be the place for you. Since 2015, we’ve been using our love of data and tech to rethink motor insurance and bring drivers a great experience at a great price. Our story began in Italy, where we’ve quickly become the number one online motor insurance provider. In fact, we’re trusted by over 5 million drivers. And now we’re expanding to help millions more drivers in the UK and Spain.

To help fuel that growth, we need a sharp, pragmatic and highly organised Compliance Manager UK to join our Compliance team. This team helps shape a safe, ethical and sustainable Prima. We work closely with the business to find practical solutions, protect our customers and enable sustainable growth.

You’ll help to make sure that we meet regulations and safeguard our reputation, so we can confidently grow across markets. This is a hands‑on role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with pace, sound judgement and a genuine desire to make things happen. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between strategic projects and day‑to‑day queries, while keeping deliverables, deadlines and governance processes firmly under control.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure our compliance with all regulations applicable to the UK motor insurance distribution, with the key focus on the FCA requirements (including the IDD, SMCR, Financial Crime, Credit Broking).
  • Act as a trusted business partner, providing prompt, clear and pragmatic compliance advice on strategic projects, new initiatives and day‑to‑day business queries.
  • Keep actions, evidence, records and deadlines accurate, complete and well organised, ensuring that compliance deliverables are completed to a consistently high standard.
  • Coordinate and lead on the key deliverables, including regulatory returns (eg. RMAR), Compliance Monitoring Plan, Board and committee packs, compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct horizon scanning - monitor and assess regulatory and legislative developments and help the business turn them into concrete and timely actions.
  • Build strong alliances and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the company to promote business engagement in risk and compliance matters.
  • Work closely with the UK Country Manager, the Group Compliance Team, the UK DPO as well as with the senior stakeholders across the whole UK business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 5 years of exposure in compliance in the UK insurance (including law firms) and/or insurance distribution market.
  • In depth working knowledge of the regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance distribution activities in the UK, in particular, the FCA requirements.
  • A sharp and curious mindset, with the ability to understand complex issues quickly and identify what really matters.
  • A commercially minded approach and the ability to balance regulatory requirements, customer outcomes and business objectives.
  • Open minded keen to help the company reach its objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills and a structured, disciplined approach to managing priorities, records, actions and deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the confidence to move between different topics and respond effectively as business priorities evolve.
  • The ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment, manage competing deadlines and remain composed and objective under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including the ability to explain technical requirements in clear, straightforward language.
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet challenging deadlines and work in a dynamic and complex environment while remaining composed and objective under pressure.

Nice‑to have

  • Law degree is a plus.
  • Experience in regulatory oversight of insurance intermediaries.
