Vehicle Technician – Independent Garage

Salary up to £42,000 DOE + OTE £50,000 + overtime at time & a half
Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm | No weekend work
My client is a well-established and busy independent garage looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and experienced team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technician who is looking for a long-term position within an independent garage where quality workmanship, a good working environment and work-life balance are genuinely valued.
You’ll be joining a supportive team and working on a variety of vehicles, with plenty of opportunity to use and develop your mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance to a high standard.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete brake, suspension, exhaust, clutch and timing belt work.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify any additional work required.
- Complete all work efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
- Work as part of a small, professional team to ensure excellent customer service.
Key requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Own tools desirable.
- MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
